About the Role
Our Love and Pies Art team is highly motivated and entrepreneurial, who work collaboratively and effectively, iterate fast, and everyone contributes to solving problems and making high-quality mobile games.
As a Senior UI Artist, you will help grow and expand our popular game Love & Pies through live content and feature UI artwork. We work in self-organised teams, and as a Senior UI Artist, you’ll collaborate closely with our Senior UX Designer, Artists, Designers and Developers. You’ll be involved with early discussions and concepts as we build new features and events, and you’ll be hands-on delivering and implementing high-quality final UI assets.
We are a player-centric company, and as the Senior UI Artist for Love & Pies, you will embody our full player-centricism. You have high professional standards with good attention to quality and detail.
You’re very organised, proactive, and always keen to learn and improve your skills. We are a games company and we love to make and play casual games. In this role, you are at the heart of what makes a great game and what speaks to our players.
The Day to Day
- Translating high-level requirements into very clean and clear UI assets that match our high-quality bar, style and render.
- Designing and concepting mockups and variations on themes and directions.
- Preparing and implementing assets using Unity.
- Participating in collaborative team discussions.
About You
- Solid experience in creating UI and artwork for mobile games, preferably F2P.
- Professional experience with Unity for UI implementation.
- Experience with Unity Animation systems.
- Strong eye for cohesive and clear designs.
- Ability to create and adapt to various different styles of UI
- Ability to translate the art direction of the overall game to UI screens
- Strong artistic abilities, especially with rendering consistent final 2D assets
- Experience with iconography, typographical and layouts
- Comfortable with working independently and planning as well as tasking your work.
Great to Have
- Superstar skills in Unity (the more the better!).
- Strong knowledge of user experience and design psychology.
- Great knowledge of UI/UX best practices used across the market.
- Experience and interest in 2D art background.
- Spine experience working with and editing characters that may interact within UI panels.
- Experience working in an agile environment as part of a diverse team.
- F2P mobile game experience throughout all stages of development (from conception to live production).
